Beach Weekend

We had a short vacation at the beach before the boy's surgeries and wish we could have stayed a lot longer. We stayed at a great ocean front hotel that had about 15 pools, a lazy river, a kids play area, and of course, beach front access. To my disappointment, the kids were more interested in the pools than the beach! I kept telling them they can swim anytime at home but they could have cared less. I am not a huge fan of getting all sandy but I certainly expected to spend more than 30 minutes a day on the ocean!

My mom went with us and was so helpful with the kids. We took Addie Grace on the beach late one afternoon, but otherwise, she hung out in the hotel for the most part. We all rotated with who stayed with her so we all got a chance to play with the boys and soak up some sun. Mom kept the kids for us on Saturday night and Chad and I had a nice dinner at Divine Fish House. Our nice dinner was followed by a trip to Krispy Kreme AND a trip to the ice cream shop! It doesn't get any better than that! Thanks again Sue-Sue for going with us!

Before we left on Sunday we went to Broadway at the Beach and had lunch and let the kids ride some rides. It was a fun weekend-just too short!

CANNNONN BAALLLL!

The boys were SO tired after spending all day in the water. Parker fell asleep on the balcony while I was starting their bath water. Cambell managed to stay awake until after his bath but soon fell asleep standing up with his head propped on the bed! I picked him up and put him on the bed where he slept until supper!
