Last night I was washing her bed for what I hope to be the last time so she had nothing to sleep on but the bath mats in my bathroom. She does this by choice very often so I didn't think it would be a problem. Apparently, it wasn't to her liking so she improvised. I found her in the bouncy seat when I got up this morning!! This was not an easy task for her I can assure you. She is still there now and I can't wait for the boys to wake up to see her. Since she is 90% deaf now there is a pretty good chance she will still be sleeping there when they get up. This moment made all the insane amount of money I have been having to spend on her totally worth it!

A Dog's Life
Let me start by saying that my 15 year old cocker spaniel, Maddie, has lately been requiring as much attention as my 3 children. We found out just before Addie Grace was born that she has an enlarged heart which resulted in her being put on human blood pressure meds and on a heart pill. Fast forward to about 3 weeks ago when we found out she is diabetic and now receives 2 shots of insulin each day. Throw in her arthritis meds, her eye "gunk" meds, and the occasional ear medication and we are a small pet pharmacy here. In light of her diabetes and getting her sugar regulated, she began having kidney problems and was incontinent for nearly a week. We got her sugar under control and all that went away (thank God!). Well, she missed a dose of her insulin this past weekend and then I ran out of her medicine on Monday morning so she only got half of her meds that morning....not a good thing. Incontinence returned! So, we are all better now that her doses are back right but it has required me to wash her bed several times, not to mention clean up my bathroom floor a number of times!

OMG - that is so funny!!
Not the sick part but the pictures....you know what I meant.
Oh, Lee. I so understand all the meds. I mean..my cocker underwent chemo and surgery and everything else just to keep him with us for a little while longer. I love her in the bouncy seat. Bless her little doggie heart...but that is too funny all up in the bouncy seat!
