The Strawberry Festival That Wasn't

I recently took the kids to the Strawberry Festival at McLeod Farms. Or so I thought. We were all excited and I had geared the kids up for face painting, jump castles, pony rides, and the like. I pulled into the parking lot and realized very quickly that there were no festivities going on. Apparently I should have my hearing checked because what I thought I heard on the radio was May 1st and what I should have heard was May 15th! But fear not, we made the best of it and spent half the day at the "festival"!

My mom joined us for the day and helped out with the kids. As always, thanks Sue-Sue!!

First Taste...right of the vine! She wasn't very impressed. She still has a lot to learn because the strawberries were awesome!

Cambell's basket was apparently not big enough! He became very upset when his basket was full because he wanted to keep picking. He asked me if his strawberries would be OK on the ground while he picked some more and I said Yes. Little did I know, he was not planning on leaving them in the basket when he put them on the ground!! A few tears later, all strawberries were back in the basket and he was good to go.

I let him take my picture and that's how he got over it!

We ran into Cambell's best buddy Clayton and his family and ate lunch with them at Big's. The end to a fun day!

Isn't the strawberry farm so much fun? I want to go back again this year. Your children are adorable and I loved seeing mommy in the pics too!
