A Day at the Lake

A couple of weeks ago the kids and I were lucky enough to enjoy a fun day at the lake with some great friends-Mary Adele, Mazie, and Eli. We had 2 Mommies and 5 kids so things were a little chaotic at times but it was so much fun! We spent the day on the water floating and swimming. The boys tried their best to catch fish in their nets but had no luck. Addie Grace enjoyed floating in my lap and did pretty good for her first trip to the lake. There was the one small incident where I nearly drowned her, but other than that, it was a perfect day. (We fell out of the float and I couldn't get either of us above the water!) YIKES! The funny part is that we were only in about knee deep water! She was perfectly fine, but I was a bit shaken up by the whole ordeal! It was such a fun day. We had many laughs but the best was when we were loading up to come home and it started pouring down rain. I mean pouring. We got soaked. I was drenched all the way through every piece of clothing I was wearing! It became hysterical and all we could do was laugh! Good times, good memories, good friends!

The fish like pork skins so that's what we were feeding them. Mazie also likes pork skins!

Cambell was pouting because he wanted to try the diving board but was too scared to try it...he was beyond tired at this point and had pretty much had his fill of the lake.
