Cambell-isms

Just a few things to share about my almost 5 year old little boy...

  • We are pretty sure he is going to be some type of artist/architect/designer/etc...he loves to draw and build things. He has always been great at puzzles and can now build Lego figures like a champ. He says he wants to be a PT like his Mommy. :)

  • He loves playing dress up. We looked back at him in the car the other day when we were on the way to church and found him wearing a batman mask and he was sorely disappointed that we would not allow him to wear it into Sunday School.

  • He has had a great year in K4. He writes his name quite well and can read about 20 basic words (at, bat, cat, all, ball, tall, etc). He has never gotten into trouble at school-that we know of!

  • He says he wants an I Pad for his birthday-just so he can play Angry Birds

  • He is the sweetest of my 3 children but has a mean streak in him that will sometimes surprise you! He has learned to stand up for himself with his big brother and is much tougher than him!

  • He still loves his Lamby. Lamby goes to school in his book bag and is allowed to come out during nap time (when he stays in daycare for a couple of hours), but Lamby is not allowed in K5 next year! We have already laid down the ground rule so there won't be any surprises.

  • His favorite food is chicken and french fries. He eats a bagel for breakfast nearly every morning. We learned that he will have to have braces in about 2 years due to a cross bite. None of us are excited about it but we have already told him so there won't be any drama when the time comes.

  • He is a lefty when it comes to batting, but does all other things right handed.

  • He has had a great time playing baseball this year. He plays Coaches Pitch but if they don't hit by the 3rd pitch then they hit off the tee. He has only had to hit off the tee a fee times so far this year! He has the potential to be a great little ball player if he wants to...but on to the next point...

  • He is my free-spirited, do whatever I want to do, doesn't care if the sky falls child! He is sooooo not Type A like myself or his older brother. He falls in the line of his daddy as far as this goes. We joke that he doesn't have a hurry-up bone in his body and moves like a little old man sometimes. He just does his thing and has no worries if you like it or not! I fear this is going to bite us in about 10 years...

  • I love every minute of having this sweet, loving, care-free, do-it-my-way child of mine!!!

Just a small sample of his artwork. He drew the picture from the wallet.

He had some money to spend and we went to Toys R Us and he picked this building kit where you can build and create all sorts of things. It came with a saw, screws, a hammer, etc. He has created some real masterpieces already!

I LOVE this big blue eyes. They melt my heart.

Silly Goose. He would much rather make faces at me than smile.
