My little man is 4 years old! We celebrated a little at home yesterday for his birthday and will have his "big" party this weekend at the Fire Station. I tried to make the day special for him even though he had school and Chad and I were both working. I started his day with a candle in his muffin, which he thought was great. We gave him a set of "real" golf clubs (as he calls them), but mommy forgot to buy golf balls!!! I took cupcakes to his class during their snack time and they all sang to him. After school, he went to Granny's and played till he was about to drop (of course, no nap on your birthday)... or so he thought...once he got home and was so tired he could hardly stand himself, he asked to watch a movie. I let him and within 5 minutes he was snoring in the bean bag. He slept for an hour and a half!
I fixed him his favorites for dinner...fried pork chops, rice & gravy, and macaroni. Mom came from the hospital to see him and brought a cake for him and cute fire truck bank and monster truck picture frame to match his room. It was quite a day!
The most fun part of the day for me was watching him glow with pride over being four years old! It was as if he had just accomplished something so big. I feel so blessed to have 2 healthy and beautiful boys. I get all sappy when I think about how fast they are growing!!
