Last weekend we went to Taylor's party at the skating rink. Parker had a great time, Cambell not so much. He was at the peak of his grumpiness from his ear infection and for the most part, he was miserable. He did manage to find about 10 minutes of play time (during the hour and a half party). I thought he would like the skates, but they only lasted about 2 minutes! Parker started out with the safety skates but they were too small. Being the overly-protective mom that I am, I had the guy tighten his wheels as much as possible so he could go super slow. Poor thing, after about 5 minutes with them Parker says, "Mommy, I can't even go!" So I had them loosened a little and then he required someone to hold him up! Despite all the chaos, it was fun. Parker already wants to know if he can have a skating party next year...hmmm, lots of practice between now and then I guess?
