Parker has been taking swimming lessons at the YMCA this month. Unfortunately, he did not get to go for his last session today because he has walking pneumonia! Gotta love it!!! He has done pretty good this year. He took lessons last year and is definitely improving. He is still not able to keep his head above water by himself so we have some more work to do. He really enjoyed it. I wish I had taken my camera last time because he was swimming (with help) and putting his face down in the water at the same time. He was so proud of himself!
Mommy just wishes he could keep his head up!!! We had such a terrible scare with him last year when he stepped off the pool ladder without his life jacket and although lots of adult were around the pool, he still went under for 'a while'....thank God he was holding his breath and Chad saw him! Anyway, since that day I have been terrified and realize how quickly something terrible can happen. Hopefully with more practice this summer with us he will master keeping his head above water!
