Wilkes' Pumpkin Carving

Last weekend we took the plunge and carved pumpkins with the boys. Although a little stressful at times, it was well worth it! They had a wonderful time and aside from my hands feeling like they may fall off, I did too. Chad helped Parker with his pumpkin and I helped Cambell with his. Parker decided to do a graveyard and Cambell did a ghost (with a little pleading from me!)...they actually were able to do some of the cleaning out and tracing themselves. Unfortunately, we had to say goodbye to Parker's pumpkin this morning. It began to mold and "leak" everywhere. We are not able to enjoy them outside like most people because our crazy dogs would have a field day with them! We have kept them on the bar in the kitchen and light the candles everyday when we get home. It won't be long before we say goodbye to the others too. Parker is already asking to do another pumpkin since his is the only one that has not survived...his class has a field trip to the pumpkin patch on Monday so I may entertain the thought once he gets yet another pumpkin! (I think we have 8 pumpkins in our house right now!!)

Looking to see if it was all clean!

Kisses for his pumpkin!
So very proud of himself!

After the kids when to bed, Chad and I did our own.
I did the spider and Chad did the bat!
