- According to Parker you can tell the difference between girls and boys very easily. You see, girls have wee-wee's and boys have tee-tee's....all this is explained by pointing to his sister while I change her diaper and then pulling down his underwear to show me the boy parts.
- His class has apparently been working on the 10 commandments. He informed me today, "Mommy, I know 2 things, well there are actually 10 things but I can remember 2 of them." This was followed by, "you shouldn't lie" and "you shouldn't kill people". We then discussed the 10 commandments and got out his bible and read them and talked about them. I had to explain adultery (that was a fun one to think of with no planning)...I told him that it meant that when you are married you don't have a boyfriend or a girlfriend like Mommy doesn't have a boyfriend and Daddy doesn't have a girlfriend because we are married to each other and we are the only people that we love that way...fast forward a few hours to his blessing at supper...it went something like this, "Dear God, we just thank you for theses things and we ask you to help these sick people like Bayler and Mr. Ralph that they would not be sick and help people not lie and not to shoot and not to have a boyfriend or a girlfriend if they are married...what else Mommy?"
- Parker has also informed me that he thinks our roof should be blue instead of red (metal)...he has let me know that when HE lives in this house once his daddy and I move out and get a new house that he will make the roof blue....he's going to be sadly disappointed one day!
- He got his "report card" today and got all "S" marks, so he has improved in the area of "requires only my share of attention" since his fall report card. He has also grown quite a bit...2 inches taller and 7 (yep, seven) pounds heavier!
He is always entertaining us and still loves his sister to death. Cambell is his shadow all the time and copies nearly everything he does and this drives Parker crazy most of the time! He has finished baseball for the year and is already getting excited about swimming lessons this summer and possibly football camp at the rec center. He absolutely loves to have company at our house and will invite just about anyone to our house to eat, even if we are having PB&J! I am enjoying watching his stubborn, independent, fun-loving personality develop more and more each day!
