Parker's K4 Graduation

Parker has officially completed K4! They had their graduation program on Friday and it was so good. Each child was involved in the program and was able to get up front and speak with a group of children. Parker was with the group that said the pledge. He jumped up to the microphone and held onto it and spoke loud and clear into the microphone the entire time! Not a shy bone in his body these days! They performed songs with adorable motions and dancing. They all received a certificate and then went one by one to the microphone to say what they wanted to be when they grow up. Most said things like teacher, doctor, baseball player, fireman, dancer, hunter, etc....Parker was very clear that he wanted to be none of these things. He marched up to the microphone and said, "I want to be what my Daddy is!" How sweet is that? Later we asked him "what is Daddy?" and he said, "I don't know, he's still in school!"

They closed the program with a wonderful slide show that made me sob my eyes out! It could be the lurking hormones but I had a steady tear coming out of my eyes the whole time! Of course it was set to music that was meant to rip your heart out!!! We finished the day with a great party on the football field with great food and the kids playing their hearts out.

Cambell was not going to be over-shadowed on this day....while playing on the football field while everyone was just talking and getting set-up, Cambell decided he needed to potty...right on the 40 yard line!!! Someone said, "whose child is that?". I looked up and said, "MINE!!!" I tried my best to get to him but no such luck, he had already taken care of his business and was grinning at me. I tried not to laugh but was not very successful! I turned around hoping that the 50 or more people out there had not all seen it...wrong. They were all giggling like crazy and I was as red as the shirt I was wearing!

When Parker got to his seat Cambell said, "Good job, Parker!" Then he gave him this sweet hug. They may not always act like it, but they really love each other so much!
