Time to Celebrate!!

We celebrated Parker's birthday with a cookout with family on Saturday. Parker loves being the center of attention and he had a wonderful birthday!!

Parker got this jersey from my mom and he had to go get fully dressed up to show us how cool he was!

He was so genuinely excited about his gifts! He kept thanking everyone and smiling ear to ear!

A Nerf water gun...the boy is in love!

I nearly goofed on Parker's cake...he asked for a deer hunting cake and I showed him a few pictures of cakes with deer on them and let him choose one. A few days later, I came up with the idea of putting his squirrel hunting picture on his cake, thinking he would LOVE it. When I opened up the box to show him, he said, "where's the other cake???"....I was devastated! He told me he did like this one but he wanted to know why it wasn't the one I showed him...I explained why I surprised him and he sulked for a little while. About 30 minutes later Chad got home and he was so excited to show his daddy his cake and was loving it (the way I thought he would have been from the moment he saw it!) Lesson learned: Do NOT change the cake of a 6 year old when they have picked one out!

We got him a new helmet. You can't see it but it has a flaming baseball on the back. It's pretty cool!
