My smiling heart...

It's amazing how the simple things my children do light up my heart and bring tears to my eyes. We went to the early church service this morning and are now at home waiting on Joe-Joe (my dad) to get into town so we can go to lunch. Cambell is napping and Parker is watching Peter Pan for the 3rd time in 36 hours! I picked up an Upward Soccer paper this morning at church to look at and see if Parker was interested in playing. As he watches Peter Pan I go over to him and show him the paper and ask him if he thinks he would like to play. After the normal questions of Why?, When?, and How many times? he decided he would really like to play. I was walking away and he says, "Wait Mommy!" He jumps up and gives me one of those big ole "leg hugs" with both of his arms wrapped all the way around me legs and says, "Thank you soooo much for signing me up for soccer, you're the best Mommy ever!" My heart smiles and my eyes water with tears for how sweet he is!

Parker is such a sweet boy. I can tell that when I'm around him just a few minutes at the time. He always come over and greets me like he sees me once a week!

Those are the moments as Mom that make all of those sleepless nights, temper tantrums, etc., worthwhile. Being a Mommy is truly wonderful!
