Bye Bye Crib

Hello big boy bed! Cambell is officially out of his crib starting today. After church Chad converted his crib into the toddler bed and he took a great nap in it and went to bed like a big boy tonight, walking himself right to his bed! Chad's feelings were a little hurt because he normally lets Daddy carry him to bed.

He did just like he is supposed to and called me when he woke up from his nap (without getting out of bed). This is HUGE in our house if you compare it to Parker's transition out of the crib! One thing is that Parker was much younger because he was climbing out of his crib. He NEVER stayed in bed like he was supposed to...we put up a baby gate just to keep him in his room back then! That didn't work to well either. So, it is such a relief to have Cambell going to his new bed like a big boy and not getting out without calling us to get him. Let's just pray it stays this way!

The first pics are from when he saw his new bed for the first time. Ignore the spots on his shorts (he's a messy eater and this was right after lunch!). The later pictures are from him trying to "fix" his bed late this afternoon. He liked it but he thought there should be some screws in those empty holes!
