Mortified at the Pediatrician

We all know that kids say WHATEVER they think, right? Mine are certainly no exception. I had the kids at the doctor yesterday to have Parker checked for some congestion and wheezing. (upper respiratory infection turned sinus infection in his chest but doing okay...). We saw one of the doctors in the practice that I really like but that we have only seen a couple of times. As he and I are talking about Parker and his issues with breathing and possible signs of asthma, Parker loudly and proudly states, "Look Mommy, he lost a tooth!" Oh my. It was a gap between the doctor's two front teeth! I was absolutely mortified and could not come up with anything to say to make it go away! He replied, "Oh yeah, I need to go to the dentist." The innocence of a child can be so embarrassing!!
