Gingerbread Party!

Parker and Cambell and "the girls" (i.e. our nieces Taylor & Logan) had a gingerbread party last night. It was more fun than I ever could have imagined! They impressed us so much with their imaginations and creativity!!!

Brandi and I were planning on getting them started and then venturing off to do our own but that didn't quite happen. Instead of building simple houses that required 5 or 6 graham crackers, they built mansions that required 10 or 12! We were out of graham crackers and never got a chance to build our own. I must say though, I had a great time helping them and watching the joy they got out of this simple project! It's amazing what some bags of dollar store candy and a box of graham crackers can turn a Saturday night into!

Before we let them start...

Look how neat and pretty we had it all set up....that lasted all of 30 seconds :)

Her eyes get bigger and bluer every day!!

I had to take a picture of this. Cambell created this "man" all own his own with no example, no prompting, no nothing. He put his arms and legs in and then said, "I need some hair for my man!"
