Cambell's First Day of 2K

What a big day! Cambell had his first day of school today and he did terrific! I was a little emotional but hid it well (I think!). We've been practicing his teacher's name and talking about singing songs and playing with friends for about two weeks in order to get him ready. Yesterday when I was dressing him he said, "Mi Joran" (i.e. Miss Jordan) and I told him "not today" and he said, "WHY??". I was so happy to hear him wanting to go to school.

This morning he woke up earlier than usual and started to get sleepy in the car which had me a little concerned about how he would do. He told me in the car that he had to potty so when we got to the room I took him and then he headed to the other kids to play! When I said, "Mommy has to go to work now" he said "with me?" meaning aren't you staying with me??? I said "No, Miss Jordan is here with you" and off he went to the kids and toys. No last minute hugs or calling for Mommy. None. Notta. See ya Mom....boo hoo!!!

"Miss" Jordan said he did great and did not whimper one bit. Lamb was in his bag for an emergency but was not needed! She told my mom that he has his "own little personality" so I am sure he must have entertained them a little. Parker had Miss Jordan two years ago so we feel like we are right at home with her. Another plus to the day was that Cambell wore the same pull-up ALL DAY, including school, naps, playing, traveling, etc...we may be on our way to being fully trained!!!
