Today started out like any other day. Well, sort of. Parker had his Christmas program this morning (pictures to follow later) and I had to get up super early to go to the office and then make it back to Bishopville for the program. I actually got up at 5:00 a.m. and then came back home to help get the boys ready to be on time at school. Things got a little crazy when I walked back in the door at 7:00 and all was quiet. Yep, they were all still asleep! So anyway, we all ran around like crazy getting ready and making it to school on time and enjoying a great program. I went on to work and all was normal.
Then it happened. Around 4:00 my cell phone rang with a call from home. I had recently talked to Chad and thought it was odd for him to be calling me so I politely excused myself from my patient and answered my call with my polite but direct "I'm busy, what do you need voice". Chad hesitated a moment and then all I heard was "the boys, car accident, 5 points, blah, blah, blah" Panic mode. Chad said he thought all was okay but was on his way over there. I quickly had to get the heck out of that house and get to my babies!!!
The boys were with Chad's mom (Granny) and his cousin (Crystal) in Florence. They were in 5 points, which is a terrible intersection and were sort of side-swiped by a car. There were 3 cars involved and all 3 left on a tow truck. Everyone was okay, just a little bruised and A LOT scared. They said the accident was Crystal's fault but none of us agree and are just so thankful that everyone is okay. Before I got there the boys were taken great care of by the fire fighters and EMS workers. Parker and Cambell were both checked out in the ambulance and apparently the firemen were carrying Cambell around keeping him busy. Parker was very upset at times when he heard any mention of a hospital. When I got there he was sobbing but settled down. We took them to Urgent Care and they were both thoroughly examined. Parker has a seat belt burn on his neck and Cambell has one small bruise. I can handle that!!!!
I think one of the scariest parts was when we were eating supper Parker was sort of laying on me and looked up into my eyes and said, "Mommy, I'm so glad I didn't get killed." Lump in throat!!! It could have been so much worse and I am just thanking God for taking care of my family-again!!!

That must have been so scary for all of you! I think I would have a heart attack!
By the way, the boys look like twins in these pictures!
Hey Leigh! Nikki (Brittany's sis) here! Your boys are absolutely adorable and I am so excited about your little girl on the way! Quick question here...I work with a girl who is pregnant and is wanting to start a blog. I of course showed her yours because it is the cutest one ever. She has created the blog but cannot figure out how to get the background from the website that you use onto her blog. I'm sure you have nothing better to do but if you don't mind, would you shoot me a quick email on how to do it. Thanks so much! My email is nikkireidot@yahoo.com. Hope all is well and have a great Christmas!!!
OK, worst fear realized for you. My goodness...I'm glad it ended ok. Hope you and baby girl are ok too. We will probably not be at church Sun. b/c both boys have bad coughs. i do hope to see you next weekend though.
