In Lieu of dragging the children in and out of the car to
only houses that we know, we have opted to have a Halloween Party at our house for the kids in the family. It all started last year when there was so much talk about gangs and safety concerns over trick-or-treating. Brandi (my sister-n-law) and I decided to keep the kiddos home and let them have a Halloween Bash that they would not forget! We were more prepared this year, since we had done it once before and we made sure everything was Halloween to the core, including the food and drinks. There were 10 kids in all and even more adults. We enjoyed lots of spooky food, sack races, spoon races with apples, a game of hot potato, pinatas, and of course, trick-or-treating!
The Spooky Food

"SLIME!" aka French Onion Dip :)

Bugs on the Macaroni

Ghosts and Pumpkins

A witch hat cheese ball

My personal favorite that I cannot take any credit for!

Hot Potato! Parker was trying to get rid of the potato as fast as he could!

Cambell spent most of the night with his hands in his bucket!

A definite Daddy's boy

Trick or Treating...

Okay, only one is smiling and the other two look miserable, but they are at least all looking at the camera!

So cute! I'm going to have to steal some of your ideas for our halloween party next year. We have our friends who live out in the country come to our house for trick or treating in our neighborhood.
Looks like everyone had a GREAT time!
