Thomas Hart Carnival

I took the kids to the Thomas Hart Carnival on October 30th. Thankfully, Misty agreed to go as well and serve as an extra pair of eyes and hands for me! My niece and brother-n-law came too and they too were a huge help. The kids had a great time. I must admit that I was a bad mother and did not let them know that the carnival festivities were also outside. There were pony rides and jump castles galore outside but I just couldn't handle it so I avoided it all together. They never new the difference so all was fine! Since we don't officially go trick or treating I love that we can go to the carnival and enjoy all the festivities!
By the way, the boys wore completely different costumes to the carnival in lieu of the hot weather. I knew they would be roasting in their real costumes so in a last minute dash we through together costumes from the dress up truck and closet! Parker wore his old T-ball uniform and Cambell wore Parker's costume from last year. I had to improvise a bit...Cambell's pants were safety pinned in the back at least 2 inches to hold them up and Parker's black stuff under his eyes is actually my mascara. They were thrilled with their costumes and that's all that matters!
