So, we were discharged home on Friday. It is now Sunday and it has been a rough weekend. She is hurting all the time. We have tweaked her pain meds a little with the input of the on call doctor, but there hasn't been much improvement. She's not sleeping well because she hurts, she's not drinking well because she hurts, she's not eating well because she hurts. She is pretty much miserable. She will have brief moments where she perks up but they are few and far between. Since coming home she had had the following the eat/drink: 1 scrambled egg, 1 sippy cup of tea, 1 Kool-aid drink (huge success this morning), one popsicle, one ice cream cone, and a nibble off a bagel. The doctor assured me she had enough fluids in her to get her through the weekend without having to worry about dehydration. I just hope and pray tomorrow is a better day and she will start to feel better.
I can't say enough how much we appreciate every one's help during her surgery. Although it is not a major surgery in comparison to many, it is tough. We've had so many visits, calls, emails, texts, cards, delicious meals, prayers, and help with the boys! It's amazing and we thank each of you. You know who your are and we love you. Please keep praying for her!
In Recovery. Not a happy camper.
If you came in her room you would have thought it was Christmas! Everyone had a prize for her that came to see her! :)
A brief pick me up in the play room. That place is fantastic!!
Surprisingly, she slept fairly well in the hospital. Not so much at home!
GRITS!!! 3 Bowls on the first night!
Auntie saved the day! She showed up at just the right time on Thursday night. Addie Grace was absolutely miserable. Auntie walked in and her mood changed. She sweet talked Auntie into climbing in the bed with her and letting her paint her nails (i.e. fingers!). HA! It was so nice to have something to distract her. If only I had known that would make her happy, she could have painted my whole arm!
The boys came to see her Thursday afternoon. It was good for all of us! I missed them so while we were at the hospital. I missed hearing all of their first day of school stories! By the time we got home on Friday they could have cared less about telling me all I wanted to know! boo.
GOING HOME! She was SO excited to be free of IV's and pulse ox leads!

Oh sweet girl. It's no fun to be in the hospital for one night or many nights. It's all the same to our little monkeys. Praying that she feels better soon! Love you all!
