A BIG day for Cambell!

He used the potty for the FIRST TIME!!! YEA!!!! I realize this may not happen again for at least 6 months, but it did indeed happen and I am rejoicing! He has been "interested" in the potty for a month or two (mostly because of Parker, I'm sure). Every night at before their bath Parker uses the potty. Cambell began grunting and saying, "paaaee" so we humored ourselves and sat him on it...he did "strain" a little as if he was trying to go, but that was it. We have continued to let him sit on the potty randomly when he insists, but that's about it. Well tonight he insisted and when he "stained" he actually went-a lot! I cheered and clapped and Paker and mom joined in and he just grinned as if he knew he had done something big! As I said, I am sure this is mostly a fluke, but it was quite exciting to say the least. I absolutely DREAD potty training again and to think he did it so easily tonight on his own I know is so misleading for what the months ahead have in store for the real training! Parker showed an interest early in training (about Cambell's age) and we actually started working on it when he was about 19 months old (which Cambell will be next week!)...I had convinced myself we wouldn't even worry about it until the summer, but I may follow his lead and see if he is really ready to try this!
