Getting better...
Parker had to have his lab work done again on Monday and we got some limited results today. In the big picture, his numbers are so much better. His PTT (which was 3 times normal in August) is now just a couple of points above 'high end' normal. We are so relieved and so thankful. In October it was 52, now it is 35 so we are seeing great improvements. One thing that is still not normal is the composition of his WBC's (white blood cells)...as I understand it, the overall # of WBC's is okay but the "new" and "old" ratios are a little off. According to the nurse today, they are about the same they have been--the thing is that until today, I did not know they were abnormal! I suppose since the PTT was off the charts they were focusing on that in their discussions with me and so I am not sure if this is a big deal or not.....as our luck would have it, our pediatrician is off until Friday so we have to wait and let him make the call and fill us in on what this other stuff means and consult with hematology in Columbia. This wait is not nearly as bad as the one we had in August, but I am so ready for all of this to be over! Even though he seems fine now, it has always been in the back of my mind each day, and I have been so ready for us to be able to get another test run so we could find out how he was doing on the inside. God has healed him thus far, and I am praying we will continue to get good news and He will have his hand on my precious little man!

We will continue to pray for Parker and know God will take care of him. Please keep us updated.
Love,
Lauren
He is in our prayers. The unknown is so scary but it is all a part of some bigger plan we do not know about!
