Shots & Staples...

Just in case you ever wondered how loud my child can scream, you should have been at the doctor's office tonight! Not only did he (Parker) have his staples removed from his head, we also discovered that he was due for a shot--this is where the screaming comes in! He did pretty good with the staples, crying some of course. However, the shot was another story. It took me and 2 nurses to get his pants pulled down and hold him down on the table. The lady at the front desk was shaking her head in pity for me when we checked out. I am pretty certain that everyone in the building knew we were there! To add insult to injury, Cambell also had a shot just before this and was still crying. His crying continued to get louder as he watched Parker's tirade! I was sweating by the time it was over. Thank heavens Mrs. Tammy went with me or else I think I would have gone insane! On a lighter note, they both got good check ups. Cambell is growing nicely and in the 50th percentile for weight (26 lbs) and 75th percentile for height (33 inches). Parker is also growing by leaps and bounds...he has gained 8-10 pounds since August! We discussed his eating habits (and constant hunger!) and are modifying his snacks and drinks a little to keep him from packing on too many pounds. He is so solid! I personally love his little round cheeks, but I know how important it is to keep him at a healthy weight and I brought all of this up with Dr. Davis b/c I want to keep it from being an "issue". I sure hope he likes carrots and celery b/c that is our newly recommended snack! I'll keep you posted. We also got the 100% clearance for Paker's lab work!! Praise the Lord we are finished with lab work and everything looks good!!!
