Slowly But Surely...

I will start this post off by saying we should have been in our house about 2 weeks ago. Now here's the update...it will likely be MARCH! Our hold up is (and has been) our roof. We are putting a metal roof on and have run into 2 bumps in the road along the way. The first was when our original order of metal came in nearly 2 feet too short all the way around the house...that was around Thanksgiving...so we waited, and waited, and waited and finally the new metal arrived. Well, as our luck seems to go, the weather then got nasty. So once they finally got started things looked great-until they got to the point in these pictures and stopped working! It seems that there is a piece (or pieces) missing and they cannot go any further until it arrives. Apparently it has to come from Egypt because both times it seems to be taking forever! They cannot do anything on the inside (sheetrock, etc) until the roof is completed. My parents have been so wonderful to let us invade their home since September and it has gone very good, but we are so ready to be in our own home again!
